  Please be aware of dishonest trading. Unfortunately I have had a bad experience with Hertz. I have rented other vehicles in the past with reputable companies, having no bad experiences, so this comes as a bit of a surprise. On the day of returning the vehicle I filled the fuel tank at a service station bordering Sydney airport, as it is standard practise and parked in the allocated parking next to the collection office, as per the instruction. A week later I noticed that my credit card statement reflected a charge of approximately $40 deducted from my deposit. I enquired with Hertz, who informed that the charge was for a 'locating' fee and a 'fuel and service' fee. I explained that there had been a mistake as the car was refuelled and parked correctly. The customer service representative was quite rude and patronising and did not want to engage in much conversation nor give an explanation. I highly doubt I will be refunded and recommend travellers to use other companies like Thrifty or Europe Car who have been excellent in the past. It seems I am not alone as there have been other disgruntled customers who share the same experience. I would urge others to give Hertz a wide berth being aware this of this dishonest practice.

  I have hired a couple if times now and just saw what other people have wrote! what a load of rubbish! the staff a wonderful, Helpful, the cars have been excellent! and cheap! this is with full insurance! Good job guys I will definitely hire again when in Sydney! Thank you

  Good & friendly staff. However, improvement is needed to prevent billing error. I returned the car with full tank, Hertz's employee checked and gave me the thumbs up before I left.  But I was billed for petrol & services.  Hertz claimed that I did not return the car with full tank and asked for refuelling receipt.

  Unlike Hertz in US, this place is run by scammers... expect extra fees, scam emails with accident you never got involved into, etc.
