    Return service was fine but airport car rental location was not well marked when approaching the airport from M5.

    I love how easy the process of picking up and dropping off a rental car is. The staff are always happy to help. I love the Avis preferred system. I get a text before I've landed of which bay my car is in, I jump in and I'm ready to go. The emailed invoice is great too.

    It was a good experience to rent a car from Avis. We even got a better car than we booked and paid for. Though, the guy in the check out was a bit careless which made me worried if I need to pay for damages made by previous users. Anyway, everything was good when we returned the car and we got the deposit back about 1 week later.

    I do note a lot of whinging in the reviews from people who clearly don't understand the basics of car rental. Yes you pay high excess if you don't choose to pay insurance on this up front. Hire cars get crashed often for obvious reasons therefore excess is going to be higher. If you don't want to take the risk then pay the insurance. Of course you are going to get charged tolls if you drive in toll roads. If are silly enough to leave your belongings in the car why would you expect someone else to take better care of them than you did? Seriously people take a good hard look at yourselves and grow up and take responsibility for your own actions.

    Had booked a car for $29/day for two days totalling to $58/2days, than i got informed by the Customer Service Representative (CSR) that if I do not take an extra cover for insurance, i will have to pay over $4000 in excess in case of any damage to the car. So I asked the CSR what will it cost and he informed me that it will be another $59 and the total cost would be $117 for two days hire plus any usage of toll roads for which I agreed verbally and here I am getting a bill of $176.21 for 2 days hire and $12.42 for toll on M4 in Sydney. Worst Service, waited literally over half an hour, at the counter to get my keys, would've been cheaper to hire a taxi and saved a lot of time waiting at the airport for a rental car. It's a mere reap off. I would not recommend AVIS at Sydney airport to anyone.

    They should set up a bar or barista service while you have to excessively wait in line. Would probably knock down 5 coffees and drive off in your rental with my eyeballs hanging out of my head. Seriously, I pre book, you know I'm coming, you have full access to flight info, but seem clueless to my arrival. This has led me to score massively better cars than booked, but also a kia rio at other times. I look across at Hertz and not a soul. Please stop offering corporate incentives to companies while their workers strap in for a hour of line waiting and putting back my day!
